
A career in social media marketing although doesn’t require you a certain degree but demands a lot of patience, love for web – technology and knack for constant learning.

1. Find out on Google the proper job description of a social media marketer, this should be your starting point, giving you an idea of what are the skills in demand
2. Find out the best practices of how to manage and marketing in top social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube
3. Read case studies of successful brands on social media and try to build on their success
4. Last but not the least, all the theory and reading will stand in vain, if you don’t dirty your hands in the social media pool. The old saying of “Practice makes one perfect” holds very much true in this case too.
